Beer Bust History

The Beer Bust was founded in the Winter of 1992-'93 by Jeff Riggenbach and Mark Pickens. In the beginning, Jeff and Mark met each Friday evening at Mark's place, occasionally with a few other invited guests. Then, beginning late in 1993, they began alternating the Beer Bust locations -- one week at Mark's place, the next week at Jeff's. This continued until the late fall of 1995, when the venue for The Beer Bust was moved permanently to its current location: Jeff and Suzanne's apartment in the Theatre District of downtown San Francisco.

The Beer Bust is a party thrown once a month, always between 6:00 PM and Midnight on a Friday evening, by Jeff and Suzanne Riggenbach. They provide the place, a plenitude of mostly dark beer (mostly stouts and porters), some wine, and some munchies. The Beer Bust is a particularly popular Friday night destination for local, Bay Area, and visiting libertarians, Objectivists, and other free-thinking individuals.
